Jeannette Walls

Jeannette Walls, author of The Glass Castle, shares a wrenching story of growing up in a dysfunctional family and extreme poverty. The Glass Castle - a candid, artfully written, often humorous memoir - was a New York Times bestseller and is being made into a movie by Paramount Studios.
In spite of her upbringing, Walls left home at age 18 and graduated from Columbia University's Barnard College with honors.
She went on to become a reporter for New York magazine, Esquire, USA Today and MSNBC.com, where she writes a gossip column, "Jeannette Walls delivers the scoop."
She has been interviewed frequently on television shows like the Today Show, Larry King Show and PrimeTime Live.
