Lisa Sigler, president of her own firm, Sigler Communications Inc., for the past 10 years, has more than 20 years of experience in helping companies and organizations successfully manage their public involvement and communications programs, particularly related to environmental issues.
She has worked locally on such high-profile projects as Rocky Flats, ASARCO Globe Plant cleanup, the Redfield site, Leadville Superfund site, American Water Works Research Foundation and others. Her expertise in managing some specific issues such as groundwater contamination, mining related cleanup, Superfund Sites and environmental cleanup involving residential properties has translated into consulting work abroad for Newmont Mining Corp.'s mines on five continents and United Technologies Corp.'s six sites in the U.S. and in Canada, Hungary and France.
An accredited member of Public Relations Society of America, she has received her chapter's highest honor, the Grand Gold Pick, and the 1994 Chapter Service Award.
Sigler worked for The Children's Hospital and two public relations firms before starting her own business. She has a bachelor's degree in technical journalism from Colorado State University.
