Colorado Press Women offers its members four to five meetings each year featuring outstanding speakers who address current communications issues that are of interest to our diverse membership. CPW sponsors a Professional Development Workshop each year focusing on technology and/or the newest, best practices to help our members stay abreast with the constant new developments in the communications industry.
CPW recently formed a CPW Writers Group to offer critiques and support for freelancers, would-be authors and others seeking to improve their writing skills.
Members also experience professional growth through networking with other members and benefit from shared advice, experience, encouragement and guidance.
In September 2006, CPW hosted Rendezvous in the Rockies, the NFPW national communications conference. About 300 communications professionals, students and guests from all across the United States attended the conference, which included two days of professional development workshops.
