Monica A. Garcia Pleiman is chairman, CEO and 70 percent owner of Optimum Management Services Inc., the parent company of Optimum Management Systems LLC, (OMS), a consulting, technology, outsourcing and communications solutions firm. OMS has grown from $40,000 in revenues and four employees in 1998 to $7 million in revenues and more than 100 employees in 2005.
Pleiman is co-founder of the recently formed Latina Chamber and the Latina Chamber Foundation organization, committed to serving the needs of Hispanics and the wider community. She also is the founder of Latino Suave magazine.
Her community service includes Governor Owens' Colorado Education Alignment Council, Mayor Hickenlooper's Leadership Team on Early Childhood Education, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Denver Metro Chamber Foundation, Denver School of Science and Technology, St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, Metro Denver Sports Commission and Youth Biz. She has participated in the Minority Business Summit in Washington, D.C., with the U.S. Congress.
Pleiman has received numerous awards including 2006 Colorado State University College of Business Alumni of the Year, 2006 Latina Style Entrepreneur of the Year and 2005 - 9NEWS Leader of the Year. OMS has been ranked as a top business by numerous magazines, and most recently was ranked 34 in the Top 100 women-owned businesses in Colorado by ColoradoBiz magazine in May 2006.
