Vicki Michaelis is the lead Olympics reporter and Denver bureau sports reporter for USA Today. She also is president of the 450-member Association for Women in Sports Media.

Since starting her career at The Palm Beach Post in 1991, Michaelis has covered beats ranging from high school sports to Division I-A college football to the NBA. She lives in Denver with her husband, Barry, a freelance photographer, and 2-year-old son, Connor.
