Lesley Dahlkemper is the president of Schoolhouse Communications Inc. and specializes in helping national and statewide education leaders with strategic communications, focus group facilitation, media/communications training and editorial services.
Clients include the American Association of School Executives, Colorado Association of School Boards, Daniels Fund, Education Commission of the States (ECS), Denver Public Schools, Southwest Educational Development Laboratory and the University of Colorado.
As former senior project director with KSA-Plus Communications in Arlington, Virgina, Dahlkemper provided consultation to national clients on parent and public engagement, standards and assessments, and data-driven decision-making. She has presented at numerous national conferences including Harvard University's Labor-Management Cooperation in Public Schools Program.
Before joining KSA-Plus, Dahlkemper managed a multi-million dollar Annenberg grant focused on comprehensive school reform for ECS. For more than a decade, she was a national award-winning public affairs and education reporter for the National Public Radio affiliate in Denver and a regular contributor to NPR, the Osgood Files and Monitor Radio.
Dahlkemper has served as the vice president of associates on the Education Writers Association's Board of Directors and as the president of the Denver chapter of Women in Communications.
