Contests

Colorado Press Women sponsors a Communications Contest for professionals and a High School Journalism Contest annually. In addition, CPW presents the Communicator of Achievement Award to a deserving member and a scholarship to a Colorado college communications major.

2007 Communications Contest

More than 110 entries were received for the 2007 CPW Communications Contest. Forty of those went on to the national contest, the largest number of first-place winners ever. And a record number of awards were given out this year.

Contest entries were judged by professional journalists, media representatives, authors and university professors from throughout the state as well as from Pennsylvania and California.
