Chautauqua
The Chautauqua Dining Hall was built in Boulder in 1898 as a gathering place where people from all walks of life could enjoy food, musicians, orators and educators. There were more than 12,000 Chautauqua sites in the U.S. at one time. Only four exist today. The site in Boulder is the only one left west of the Mississippi. Recently it was designated a National Historic Site. See chautauqua.com/
